My mother, a resident of Grand Island, lost her fight to glioblastoma in early August. She was a perfectionist in every sense of the word, born with immense creativity and an eye for detail. Up until the very end, my family and I tried our best to approach every decision through her lens, including the decision on what flowers to include at her funeral.

After the service concluded, we found ourselves with so many beautiful flowers arrangements all in the exact same color palette that fit so perfectly together. We decided it would be so special to preserve elements of the bouquets so we could have a lasting reminder of the beauty we knew she would have appreciated. We quickly sprang into action to find a company that specializes in this type of work. They were based in Texas and recommended we get them the flowers as soon as possible.

We drove down the street immediately to Island Ship Center, not knowing the first thing about shipping something so fragile. I’m sure we seemed frazzled, but Fahim quickly took over and made sure every detail was handled perfectly for us. It felt like he truly cared just as much as we did to ensure our flowers arrived in pristine condition and made a point of following up with me directly to provide tracking updates.

Our shipment ended up arriving earlier than expected and the company sent me photos toconfirm how perfect the blooms still looked days later.

Signed, Ms. Ali S.
