One of the most common questions we get asked is this: “Do you accept Amazon returns?” And the answer, of course, is, “Yes, we gladly accept them, if they have a prepaid UPS shipping label on them. We are unable to accept any returns with a QR Code. You have to take those to The UPS Store in Niagara Falls.”

During the first quarter of every year, we see a lot of incoming returns of unwanted merchandise, leftover from the holidays. It’s easy to drop those off at a nearby shipping and receiving facility for expedited credit. However, the QR Code that is generated specifically through the Amazon returns dashboard is trademarked and owned by Amazon. It cannot be decoded and turned into a UPS shipping label without proper authorization, which, as of now, is only given to “The UPS Store” franchise stores across the United States.

We know how much you love us and want to come see our smiling faces when you drop off your return packages. So, please make sure to select the following from the drop down menu when returning through your Amazon dashboard:

UPS Drop-off Points

Please package and label your return and bring it to any UPS drop off location of your choice. UPS offers variety of drop off locations like: The UPS Store, UPS Drop Box, UPS Access Point, Retail Chains, Customer Service Points, Authorized Shipping Outlet.

Island Ship Center is a UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet (or ASO) and is considered a “UPS Drop-off Point” according to Amazon; we are not “The UPS Store.”

Just in case you’re wondering, we accept FedEx returns too with the proper FedEx Express or FedEx Ground labels on them. It’s just that Amazon has chosen to partner up with UPS for their returns and so this discussion is about UPS.

We hope this information assists you in making your return decisions easy and seamless. We look forward to being of service to all of you soon.

With incessant gratitude and effervescent respect,

Fahim & Seema Mojawalla, Co-Owners
