This weekend, the Sidway Elementary School PTA is hosting their annual basket raffle and Family Fun Day.  The Sidway Playground Fund, in order to raise money for a new playground, will also be there to start the raffle of a new jet ski, special thanks to Anchor Marine.  Many parents, teachers and staff members are working very hard to make this event a success.

At this event, there will be a raffle with many prizes, including that Sea Doo GTI Watercraft. One of the parents of a Sidway student approached me a few weeks ago and talked about the importance of this event. I asked him what he thought of Island Ship Center sponsoring the design and printing of all the raffle tickets for the event, with our logo and Anchor Marine’s logo on the reverse side of the tickets. He loved the idea and for us, a new service was born.

Normal raffle tickets are so drab and boring. We wanted to come up with a piece for Sidway that would be kept as a memento even after the event. It would be nice if that piece could go in a graduation scrapbook when the child graduates high school.

So, my better half, Seema, went to work. And I think she has done a phenomenal job. Please make sure to support the event by purchasing a ticket, even if you can’t attend. Here are further details:
