For several years now, the UPS Access Point program has been in effect, allowing you to redirect your packages to a UPS Access Point location if you are not going to be home to receive your package on time, especially if it needs a signature.
Many valuable items get shipped daily and require signatures from the recipient; what to do when you’re not going to be home?
Previously, these packages were taken off the Island to a facility in Niagara Falls, for pickup after hours. This procedure was quite cumbersome, especially for those getting back home from work on the Island, only to find out that they had to go off the Island to pickup their packages. Last month, UPS contacted us and asked us if we wanted to join their UPS Access Point network, thereby allowing Grand Island residents to redirect their packages to our facility.
We are happy to report that we are now a designated UPS Access Point location (in addition to being a UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet)!
So, if you will not be home to sign for your packages, just sign up online to get them redirected to our location and pick them up after hours (or the next day) at no additional charge. What’s more, UPS may automatically redirect packages to our location after making one attempt to your residence for delivery. You can stop by during our normal store hours to pick up those packages as well.
